Hillary Beth Tinney (Bostic)

Hillary Beth Tinney (Bostic), 34, formerly of Widen, West Virginia, entered her heavenly home on May 30, 2026, after a tragic motorcycle accident. A woman of Christian faith, she openly professed her salvation. Born on July 30, 1991, to Rex and Frances Tinney, Hillary was a true free spirit who lived life boldly and on her own terms. People were naturally drawn to her, and she was always ready to help in any way she could. Her bright smile could light up any room. Though private by nature, she made those closest to her feel deeply valued and loved. Her children were the greatest joy of her life, and she loved them above all else. She was also a devoted mother, aunt, sister, and honorary aunt to many of her friends’ children. Hillary will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. Though her loss leaves this world dimmer, her loved ones find comfort in the hope of seeing her again.

Hillary graduated from Clay County High School in 2009 and went on to earn her Bachelors in Environmental Science from Glenville University in 2014. She was standout participant and winner of the 2024 Mrs. Golden Delicious Pageant in Clay County. A talented artist, she operated and owned her jewelry stamping business, Appalachian Steel Co., fulfilling both in-person and online orders as an international entrepreneur. In her spare time, she found comfort and fellowship riding motorcycles with a group of friends who were Christian women. She had built lifelong friendships with them as they supported one another through life’s daily challenges. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of grace, strength, and determination.

Left to cherish her memory are her precious children, Tucker, Ford and Emberley Bostic of Gassaway WV; companion, Brian Brown of Grottoes VA; parents, Rex and Frances Tinney of Bomont WV; big sister, Holly (Bryan) Bail of Birch River WV; favorite niece and nephew, Gracey and Chance Bail; uncle, Jimmy Belt; special foster uncle, Ronnie Miller; her children’s father, Branden Bostic; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Hillary’s funeral will be 2 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with Pastor Ron Tinney officiating.

Burial will take place at Tinney Cemetery, Polemic, WV.

Her visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9th, prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made directly to Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV 26624 to aid with final expenses.
