Kathryn “Kathy” Jane Ballow Greer

Kathryn “Kathy” Jane Ballow Greer, 84, of Frametown, WV, entered into her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, after a motor vehicle accident.

She was born on December 3, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William Ballow and Hazel June Gonder Ballow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Wilkinson; brothers, James “Jimmy” May and William “Bill” Ballow; sons, Wayne Greer and James “Jimmy” P. Greer, Jr.

Kathy was a Christian by faith and was a long-time member of Villanova Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, but she did many jobs in her lifetime including nurses aid, retail clerk and deli grocery worker. She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed gifting her crafts to newlyweds, new babies, friends and family. Her loving presence will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James “Jim” Paul Greer, Sr.; daughter, April J. Moore Houghton (Lonnie) of Strange Creek, WV; sons, Robin S. Moore of Gassaway, WV, Edward “Ed” C. Moore (Tammy) of Akron, OH; grandchildren, Michael Moore (Keyanna) of Murfreesboro, TN, Brentt Moore (Rosalyn) of New Franklin, OH, Alicia Frischmann (David) of Henderson, NV, Robert Moore ( Jessica) of New Castle, DE, Cory Austin (Tori) of Warren, OH, and Aaron Carlisle of Warren, OH; great grandchildren, Carson Moore, Anna Austin, and Izzy Mansfield; sister, Lorene Singleton (Paige) of Frametown; daughter-in-law, Lisa Morrison of Warren, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV.

The funeral will follow at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Seth Osborne officiating.

Interment will be Wednesday, April 15th at Hillside Memorial Park,1025 Canton Road Akron, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at Shoreline Community Church, 790 Carnegie Avenue, Akron, OH at 3 P.M. with Dr. Scott Campbell officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to a cause of your choosing.
