I am saddened to hear the loss of such a good man. We met Maynard through my parent who worked with Maynard at least fifty years ago. Subsequently 23 years ago, he welded the porch railing for the house my husband and I built. The rail is a distinctive feature of our home, strong and sturdy, like Maynard was, a reminder of his many kindnesses.

I’m so sad to see of Maynard’s passing. He was always so eager apply his expert fix it skills. Never wanted to take a dime for his quick fixes to put me back in operation. Most valued were the “ Pull up a seat and we’ll talk awhile” chats we had. He had so much knowledge and experiences it was a true pleasure to have known him. His perspective on life, hard work, politics , hunting and other values should be a template for many to follow. My condolences to his family and friends.

We are saddened by the loss of our long time neighbor and friend. Maynard was a quiet and gentle man who taught John, Jason and I many lessons when we lived at Mile Fork. We have many fond memories of the May family.
