Jeffery Leo Facemire, 69, of Sutton, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, after an extended illness. Jeff was recognized as the youngest independent grocer, beginning his career at the age of seventeen. He was a co-owner of Facemire Foods, an operator of several Foodland supermarkets throughout West Virginia.

Jeff was a lifelong member of Sutton Baptist Church of which he served as usher superintendent for many years. He was an avid fan of watching Barrett Jackson Automobile Auctions in person and on television.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Barbara Facemire, and by one brother, Danny. He leaves behind a brother, Doug, and a sister, Vickie Conant.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Diana; his children, Mashonna, Matt and wife, Amanda, and Megan, all of Sutton: three grandchildren, Audrina, Zanna, and Waylon who will miss their Papaw. Also, several nieces and nephews are survived by him.

Jeff’s visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Sutton Baptist Church.

The Celebration of his life will be 11 A.M. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the church with Pastor Eric Thomas officiating.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the ALS Association, P.O. Box 37022, Boone, Iowa 50037-0022 or locally to Sutton Baptist Church, 506 Main Street, Sutton, WV 26601.
