Carolyn S. Bush passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a long illness.

She was born on August 21, 1950, to Lawrence and Iva Belle Howels Nicholson.

She raised her children and lived most of her entire life in Braxton County. She loved her dogs, Babe, Rocky and Rascal; her cat, Felix and her chickens. She could make the best biscuits around, and she had many friends. She loved gardening and big get-togethers.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, Henry; and sister, Marilyn.

Carolyn is survived by the love of her life of 46 years, George Nicholson, who took amazing care of her. She is also survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Roy (Stacey) Bush and their son, Devin of Gassaway, WV, Kenny Dale Bush, Catherine (Dewayne) Duffield and their daughter, Kylie (Joel) McDonough, Belinda (Bill) Brannon and their children, Samantha (Martin) Buren, Kyle Brannon, Will (Felicia) Brannon and Austin Brannon, Glen Bush and his son, Jaydon, Rob (Heather) Short and their children, Destiny, Karma and Own Short; great grandchildren, Sophie and Mila Buren; and siblings, Martha Nicholson and Ercel Nicholson; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.

There will be a Celebration of her life held at a later date.
