It was such sadness that we hear of the loss of our dear friend and neighbor. How many times we've driven across the hill and driven by the house and there is Mae working in her garden and we would stop and say a bright hello and ask how she was doing. One time she had slipped and Fallen while feeding the hog and we had to call an ambulance. She lay there with a smile on her face as if she was just taking a rest and said I think I broke my hip. Such resilience from such a strong person. She's always been an inspiration to us and I'm sure to so many others who know her. We admired her kindness, her strength and absolutely loved the smile that she cast upon us. One day when we were chatting with her we asked how she was doing and she said well I'm kind of busy right now as I've got to go do some work for some elderly folk and take care of their house, and keep in mind at the time she told us that she was in her '80s. Her work ethic and Community involvement would be hard to match. She is going to be sorely missed by us all.... her family especially. It is an honor to have known her. She raised such a beautiful and wonderful family. We are praying for her family, her friends and the community as we all have suffered such a loss. She is now an angel among the heavens watching over us all as she has always done. Thank you mae for being a part of our lives.
