Ida “Mae” Fincham, youngest child of Burl and Dora Keith Turner, was born April 2, 1930, and entered into eternal rest at 2:10 am on June 15, 2025.

At the age of 16, she married the love of her life, Bennie “Edgar” Fincham. They were married for over 50 years and she lived in the home he purchased for 79 years. Together, they have three children, Barbara, Brooks and Blaine.

Mae was the perfect example of a Christian woman. She was always loving and giving and thought of others before herself. She was the church “Mom” at the Cutlips Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She was a devoted Mother to her three children and a “Mom” to many. She worked as a caregiver until she was over 80 years old. Mae loved her garden and canning, gospel and old country music. She was an excellent cook. She loved many things but above all she loved her Lord and her family.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter, Barbara Porter and husband, James; sons, Brooks Fincham and wife, Vickie, and Blaine Fincham and wife, Ruby; grandchildren, Preston Hacker, Loretta Sipe, Tammy Smith, Becky Morrow, Jason Fincham, Debra Fincham, Jennifer Fincham, Wesley Brooks Fincham, Shawn Hacker and Ryan Hacker; 18 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends, nieces and nephews.

Mae’s funeral will be 1 P.M. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway with Pastor Dave Gunter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Jane Lew, WV.

Her visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
