Share your Memorial with Family & Friends John Dale Sawyers, 65, of Gassaway, went to be with the Lord July 2, 2016 at Genesis Nursing Home, Glenville. John was born January 23, 1951 a son of the late Denzil and Alice Sawyers. He was a retired coal miner and also worked for the WV Department of Highways. Survivors include, son, Michael Dale Sawyers of Beckley; daughter, Cathy Lynn Sawyers of Edgewood, KY; brother, Tom Friend and wife, Cindy of Gassaway; sister, Velma Seal of Exchange. The family would like to thank Hospice Care and Genesis Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided. Per John’s request his body was cremated.
