On behalf of all of your old neighbors, the John S Hyer family, I want to express our sympathy to Rodney’s family and to the entire Hall family. The Hall’s were the best of neighbors, but we had a special affection for Rodney. He was always pleasant and entertaining - an all around good guy. But as life has a tendency to take over, all of us ended up scattered throughout the country seldom seeing or hearing from each other again. But we have our memories. I was always amazed that Rodney continued with his life-long love of carpentry in spite of sometimes challenging health issues. That was Rodney I suppose. I’m sorry to say that I never got to know the man that he became but knew him only as a child and a teenager. That is enough to bring on a smile at the thought of him.
