Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Monday, August 24, 2020 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Johnny Conrad officiating.  Private interment will be in the Rollyson Homeplace Cemetery, Frametown.

Friends may gather two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Viola “Pearl” Rollyson, 90, of Frametown, passed away August 21, 2020 at home.

She was born May 17, 1930 in Gassaway, a daughter of the late Norman and Grace Stewart Fox.

Pearl was a member of the Upper Sleith Methodist Church.  She was retired with 17 years of service as a bus driver for Braxton County Board of Education.  She was also a homemaker and enjoyed being mother and grandmother.  When her husband, Edgar, was living they traveled on trips together.  They went to Bluegrass shows and liked to fish together.  Pearl liked to do embroidery.  She was a vegetable and flower gardener.  She canned her harvest and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.  Her family will forever remember her for her famous buscuits.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Rollyson; son, Francis “Jack” E. Rollyson; and brothers, Don Fox, Frank Fox, Henry Fox, and Earl Fox.

Pearl will be fondly remembered by her children, Kenny Rollyson of Frametown, Missy Deuly and husband, Dan, of Frametown; and daughter-in-law, Susie Rollyson of Wilsie; sister, Dorothy Keene of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Jamie, Kris, Amanda, Luke, Rosanna, and Daniel; great grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Bryan, Kara, Dawn, Brooke, Landon, Caden, and Ethan; great great grandchildren, Madilyn and Braxton.  Pearl is also survived by her companion, her dog, Nick.
