After a year of declining health, a golden heart stopped beating. Mary L. Bollinger, 82, of Gassaway made her heavenly flight to meet her Lord and Savior and be reunited with husband, Gene and other loved ones that went on before on July 3, 2017 at her residence.

Mary is survived by her son, Dale Bollinger (Cathy) of Gassaway; daughters, Kathy Given (John) and Angie Parker (Mitch) both of Gassaway, and Karen Hoover of Birch River; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother, Billy Carr of Weston; special friends, June Rollins and Linda Walker; her little fur baby, Joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Leta Stewart Carr; stepfather, Hyer Carr; brother, Vernon Carr; sisters, Eunice Carr and Violet Jenkins; son-in-law, Howard Hoover.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Elk River Baptist Church.

A special thank you to Hospice and the special nurses that cared for her.

She lived her life in such a way that if you didn’t know God you should come to know him because you knew her.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Brace Cook, Pastor Rick Hart and Rev. Linn Schiefer officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.
