Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Waitman Lawrence Frederick, 79, of Glenville, WV, departed this life on October 21, 2016 following an illness at United Hospital Center surrounded by his family. Lawrence was born November 12, 1936 on Crow Run in Cox’s Mills, WV a son of the late Angus Frederick and Belva Bennett. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Bennett and Robert Frederick; a sister, Sharon Virginia Frederick; and two great grandsons, Joseph Lee Frederick, Jr and Michael Shye. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Wanda Lou Greenleaf Frederick, whom he married on October 24, 1959. Mrs. Frederick still resides at their Glenville residence. He is also survived by two sisters, Susie Shaver and husband, John and Carrie Jean Byrd; one son, Waitman Lee Frederick; two daughters, Wilma Lynne Johnson and husband, Tate and Amanda Frederick; nine grandchildren, Waitman L. Frederick, David Marks and wife, April, Christina Junkins and husband, Kevin, Joseph Frederick and wife, Solena, Norma Lou Anne Shye, William Lynn Frederick and wife, Samantha, Michael Marks, Frederick Charles Marks and Jayme Johnson; twenty great grandchildren; Autumn Bloom, Tristan Sparks, Keighan Chewning, Kelly Sparks, Danielle Marks, Josh Marks, Christopher Junkins, Jodee Frederick, Landon Frederick, Anna Eagle, Addison Godfrey, Jacob Frederick, Aryah Frederick, Maggie Jo Junkins, Jackson Frederick, Doanee Frederick, James Shye, Michael Marks, Shane Marks and Charlie Marks. Lawrence was a graduate of Tanner High School class of 1956. He retired in 1999 from the Transportation Department of Warren Consolidated, formerly Republic Steel, Warren, OH with 42 years total service. Lawrence was a Baptist by faith and a member of the United Steel Workers of America and the Knights of Pythias.
