Wayne Mollohan, 68, of Sutton passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 26, 1957, in Sumter, South Carolina to Loretta Reeder Mollohan and the late Glen Mollohan.

Wayne was always ready to help and fight anything that came along. He loved his family and he showed it over and over and over. He was his family’s hero, support and father figure and even when times were tough, he never gave up. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, camping and exploring the forests. When he was younger, he played baseball and football. He was also part of the Braxton County High School Track Team where he held the Shotput record for a while. As employment he was a general laborer, working at several jobs over his lifetime, but he really understood and liked sawmill work. His fun-loving personality and his big bear hugs will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 years, Noretta Dobbins Mollohan; children, Matthew Mollohan of Clarksville, Tennessee, Kevin Mollohan and wife, Glenda, of Blairsville, Georgia, Raymond Krienke and husband, Adam Sharp, of Elkins, WV; grandchildren, Patrick Mollohan, Hannah Mollohan, Katie Mollohan, Daniel Mollohan; mother, Loretta Reeder Mollohan of Sutton, WV; brother, Jeffery Mollohan; and several nephews.

A private graveside service was held.
