Evelyn Louise Boyce, 80, of Sutton, WV passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at home.

She was born on April 7, 1945, in Sutton, to the late Arlie Buster Cottrill and Nellie Jane Barnett Cottrill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rondal James Boyce; son, Dr. Joe Boyce; and six siblings.

Evelyn was a Baptist by faith and attended Wayside Community Church in Sutton. A homemaker, she raised two boys. She was a caregiver outside of the home and worked for others till the day she died. She had a servant heart and would take care of others. Evelyn loved to take care of her own home. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be deeply missed by them all.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Rodney Boyce and wife, Tawny; daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeanette Jackson Boyce; sister, Lena Knight and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Courtney Wilfong and husband, Joe, Jordan Nibert and husband, Zach, Robert Boyce, and Jack Boyce. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Coleson Wilfong, Olivia Wilfong, Baker Nibert, Austin Nibert, and Carter Nibert; nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Nancy Westfall.

In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes she will be cremated and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
