Psalm 23 KJV: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou

art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Jeanette “Ann” Lamb Brady, 62, of Duck, WV, passed away on November 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus. Ann was born on July 22, 1963, to the late Callie and General Lamb.

Known affectionately as Mom, Meemaw, Nanny, Sister, Aunt Anne, and Best Friend; Ann was the matriarch and true heart of her family, a steady, radiant presence whose love wrapped itself around everyone she knew. Her greatest joy in life was her two children and four grandchildren, who brought her purpose, laughter, and the deepest pride. From the moment each grandchild was born, Ann was there to help care for them, spoil them, and pour her whole heart into their lives.

To know Ann was to know warmth, love, kindness, and selflessness. She offered generous hugs, a bright, and comforting laugh, and gentle, wise words that could make even the hardest days feel lighter. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, cherished, and instantly like family.

From the time her children were young and until she left us, her home was a constant gathering place; filled with siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones who spent countless weekends and holidays crafting, baking, and building traditions that have now become treasured memories. Walking into Ann’s home was a blessing; sharing a meal at her table was unforgettable. Her cooking was legendary, especially her homemade biscuits, and the family often teased her that she should open her own restaurant.

Ann never met a stranger or forgot anyone, and she never ran out of stories that were vibrant, funny, and full of life. She loved sharing memories of days gone by, and her family loved nothing more than hearing them. Her storytelling, her contagious laughter, and her comforting presence will be missed beyond measure.

Ann was a proud member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Duck, WV and adored her church family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion, a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Bradley Allen Brady and her son Jeremy Allen Brady. Missing her and forever mourning her loss are her daughter Jessica and husband, Will Rogers and grandchildren Hailey and Levi Rogers and Maggie and Keith Brady. She was expecting her first great grandchild, Jeremy Allen, in February 2026.

Ann leaves behind her sister, Mary (Mike) Duffield; and brothers, Keith (Cora) Lamb, Bob Lamb, Joe Lamb, Roger (Louie) Lamb, Gale (Donna) Neely, and Billy Lamb. Ann also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who absolutely adored and will forever miss her. Preceding her in death are sisters, Brenda McCartney and Linda Boggs.

We invite family and friends to join us to celebrate Ann’s life from 11 till 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV.

Her funeral service will follow at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Robey Godfrey officiating.

Her burial will be in the Moore Fork Cemetery, Big Otter.
