Dorothy L. Nichols, 79, of Servia passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Clay Healthcare Center.

She was born July 13, 1946, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Berlin Nowlin and Marie Naylor Nowlin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Nichols; sisters, Linda Baughan and Carolyn Johnson; and brother, Gary Nowlin.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, flower gardening and taking care of her cats. Dorothy liked to watch westerns on the television. She loved to be around her family. She was a member of the Villanova Missionary Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Randy Nichols of Servia; daughter, Teresa Dean and husband, Don of Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jennifer Walker and husband, Shawn, and Amanda Orman and husband, Patrick; and four great grandchildren, Aiden Walker and Greyson Walker and Emersyn Orman and Sophie Orman; sister, Sharon Nichols and husband, Lance of Whiting, Indiana ; and brother, Alvin Nowlin of Concord, North Carolina. She was also loved by several nieces and nephews.

She will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
