Samuel Allen Jackson, 70, of Little Birch passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 30, 1955, in WV to the late William Odell “Jake” Jackson and Gay Richardson Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Virginia Hamner; and his grandparents who raised him, Joe and Diane Richardson.

Sam worked for and retired from Appalachian Timber after 27 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his chainsaws and being in the outdoors. He loved his family dearly and his jovial personality will be missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Allen Leonard Jackson of Little Birch; brother, Joe Jackson and wife, Barbara Jackson of Sutton; uncle, Teddy Richardson of Wilsie ; aunt and uncle, Jerry and Elaine Richardson of California; aunt, Pebble Pickrell of Colorado; nephew, Eric Jackson and wife, Tammy, and great nieces and nephews of Florida; niece, Julie Lambert and her husband, David of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Donna Hamner of Ohio and Evelyn Luzader and her husband, Randy of Flatwoods; nephew, Bryon Luzader and wife, Melanie and great niece and nephew, Percy and JD, of Weston.

Sam will have a private interment in Newville Cemetery, Newville.
