David was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, and husband. He left behind his loving wife, Carole Bell Hart, his son, Raymond Darius Hart, his daughters Brandi (Chris) Couse and Tidarat Hart, as well as his grandchildren Clay (Clayton) and Kayden.

David was a West Virginia State Conservation Officer as well as a Civil Engineer. Unfortunately, he suffered traumatic crush injuries which necessitated an earlier retirement than he had wished. David provided extensive consultative work with the DEA, the US Marshal Service, and the US Border Patrol Headquarters in Miami FL. David worked for Goodall Rubber Company in FL (which was, at the time, brought in to complete a consultation with NASA). David also enjoyed serving as a master diver in the Florida Keys. Most recently, David resided with Carole in Accident, MD and passed away on October 13, 2025. David was a gentleman of faith and always enjoyed listening to his grandfather’s biblical teachings.

He loved nature and primarily his family. He kept his time busy with his favorite activities, hunting and fly fishing. He always followed his heart and felt that justice & fairness came from the soul and not the writings of man. Jesus had blessed him with a strong moral compass, a loving family and a long and happy life. We will miss him dearly.

Please join the family on Saturday October 18, 2025, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV for viewing between 9-11 AM, followed by his funeral service with Steve Jerden officiating. Thereafter friends and family are invited to the burial site at the Hart Family Cemetery, Clem.
