I was always happy to see Steve at BCHS! Always laughing and smiling! I'd always give him handful of candy and he'd tease the kids about it being his and he didn't have to share! Always brightened my day to know he was across the hall from me! All my thoughts, hugs and prayers for all of your family! Here if ever need me!

Mr. Smith was truly an amazing teacher and an inspiration to many. He brightened many students lives, especially the troubled ones. He had this amazing ability to make students feel heard and understood. He has truly changed so many lives. He will always be remembered by every student he taught. I remember how genuinely he used to ask me how my day was and how everything was going. Any time we saw that he was our substitute teacher everyone in the classroom would be so excited for class. Thoughts and prayers for his wonderful family and his students.

Mr. Smith was by far one of the kindest people I have ever met. He was an incredible person and a fantastic teacher. Having him through all four years of high school was such a blessing. He always believed in me and many other students and was always there to lend a hand or give advice. He was such a happy, humorous person that could brighten even the darkest of days. He will always be remembered. Sending so much love to his family.

Alice, to you and the family we extend our sincerest condolences. In the short time that we/I got to know him he was the kind of individual that you could talk to about anything, would stop whatever he was doing to help you, and laugh/cry with you if that was needed too. May his laughter always sound off of the hills and hollers around you and may the sunrises that you look into always warm your face with his kindness and memories. He will Rest In Peace knowing he left a loving and caring family behind and is now wrapped in the embrace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
