Maude T. “Brigum” Lockard, age 69, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

She was born September 18, 1951 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Charles and Galena Keaton, granddaughter of Nicke and Thelma Young and sister of Nick Charles Keaton all of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her only son, Michael King and wife, Beth; and two grandsons, Zach and Spencer Vaught.  She is also survived by her loving sister, Kay Powers, and husband, Bob; one niece, Amelia Card and her three children, Dylan, Nathan and Ceci, all of Ohio.; and her cousins, Delon Ables, Sherri Stump, Michael Jackson and families.  Her companion, Dana Ramsey, also survives.

Brigum’s life passion and work was to help people in need. She was previously employed with United Summit center, Women’s Aid in Crisis, and West Virginia Hospice.  She never met a stranger.  She loved and valued her many friends.  Her affection for family gatherings, animals, making flower arrangements and music filled her with happiness and she found peace by the ocean.
