Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born March 30, 1930 in Walton to the late Luster and Flora Robinson Harper. James was the last living sibling in his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Taylor, Garnet Cottrill, and Emma Harper; brothers, Clyde, Lawerance, Lewis, Roy, and Wayne Harper. He loved playing the mandolin and playing spoons. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was an Army Veteran in the Korean War where he served as an Army Medic. He was an oil field worker in the Oil and Gas Industry. James will be forever remembered by his wife of 37 years, Desylvia Clutter Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
