I met Cheryl many years ago when she first arrived in Gassaway. I was the manager of the Long John Silvers in Gassaway at the time, and she came to me for a job. She was a great lady. The friendship we developed over the next few years meant the world to me. She was a very strong and independent woman. She was doing all she could to make a good life for her daughter Hannah and herself. She was so full of life and laughter. She was a dedicated employee, couldn't have asked for a better worker. My heart breaks for her family and friends, and especially for Hannah. I will remember her just as I saw her last, with a big smile on her face, and a laugh in her voice.
